RESEARCH
We began by researching local vendors we could collaborate with. We knew of Zero Six Brew through friends, and wanted to help support this upcoming business (plus many of us here LOVE beer)
We wanted to create something cool and punk rock, so we started to build a Pinterest board filled with inspiration.
INITIAL SKETCHES
We let Iulia loose on her iPad so she could get some sketches done in Procreate.
FINALISED ARTWORK & LAYOUT #1
We had lots of fun with laying this out, putting our own stamp on the legal requirements and ingredient list, making the usually boring aspects of the bottle more fun. We even included a QR code that leads you to a video of us saying 'Cheers!'

As we are our own client here, we turned to everyone on the team to gather feedback on which labels worked best.
In the end we were torn between the two, so we ended up getting both labels printed!
PRINT PRODUCTION
Next we passed on the final files to our brewery contacts who magically printed our creations for us!
PHOTOGRAPHY & SHARING ON SOCIAL
Who couldn't resist a photography session with these beauties. We took pictures in our very own studio. We want people to know about Zero Six Brew so of course we posted them onto social!
CHEERS
We sent out the beers to our clients and even had a few ourselves in celebration!
Zoe
She / her; green / blue. Zoe is a designer, daydreamer and self-anointed snack queen. Once described as “so awkward she’s charming” by a friend, there isn’t a day that goes by without her accidentally slipping in an innuendo. In winter, she hibernates in a blanket of books and netflix, but by late spring emerges with her trusty birkenstocks, ready to go on photography adventures and socialise with the neighbourhood cats. If she were a pokemon she would without a doubt be Pikachu, but a buzzfeed quiz has determined her to be a Magikarp. She’s a firm believer that buzzfeed quizzes cannot be trusted, under any circumstances.
Iulia
She / her. Iulia is Rusty Monkey’s animation, illustration and 3D expert. Responsible for making everything beautiful, she also dabbles in graphic design and UX design. Among her credits is an animated music video for local parody heavy metal band Evil Scarecrow. A talented artist, she showcases her work on her Instagram channel. She usually spends most of her time in some random corner of the house with a drawing tablet and a pen, scribbling away. Cat obsessed. Professional house plant killer. Autumn lover. Maker of things.

THE GOAL
The goal of the campaign was to raise brand awareness among our existing customers, and to demonstrate our in-house services (such as illustration, photography, video and design).
But more importantly, the campaign was about promoting small independent business and creating a buzz for our partners.
THE SOLUTION
For our beer-loving customers, we worked with local indie brewery Zero Six Brew to create two iconic ales.
Zero Six Brew’s whacky punk vibe fits with our rebellious yet inoffensive personality. Plus, many of us love beer.
