3D - CDA
GRAPHIC DESIGN: We started by designing the individual graphics that would go on each piece of the stand, making sure to include space for the appliances themselves.
3D MODELLING: Using the layout plan sent by the organisers, we modelled the space in 3D with accurate measurements to real life. We also brought in our models of CDA's appliances and dropped them into the places where they would be on the day.
TEXTURING: This is where the stand designs came to life. We exported all the designs and added them as textures to the walls of the stand.
RENDERING: The beauty of 3D is that once you built your set, you have unlimited options for angles and shots. We exported a couple of them to show CDA how the final stand will look like and we had a frictionless and quick sign off.
Iulia
She / her. Iulia is Rusty Monkey’s animation, illustration and 3D expert. Responsible for making everything beautiful, she also dabbles in graphic design and UX design. Among her credits is an animated music video for local parody heavy metal band Evil Scarecrow. A talented artist, she showcases her work on her Instagram channel. She usually spends most of her time in some random corner of the house with a drawing tablet and a pen, scribbling away. Cat obsessed. Professional house plant killer. Autumn lover. Maker of things.
Zoe
She / her; green / blue. Zoe is a designer, daydreamer and self-anointed snack queen. Once described as “so awkward she’s charming” by a friend, there isn’t a day that goes by without her accidentally slipping in an innuendo. In winter, she hibernates in a blanket of books and netflix, but by late spring emerges with her trusty birkenstocks, ready to go on photography adventures and socialise with the neighbourhood cats. If she were a pokemon she would without a doubt be Pikachu, but a buzzfeed quiz has determined her to be a Magikarp. She’s a firm believer that buzzfeed quizzes cannot be trusted, under any circumstances.
PROJECT TIMELINE
THE CLIENT
CDA is a trusted UK appliance brand known for great design, reliable products and a strong retail presence. They care about how their appliances are presented, especially in busy showroom environments where first impressions really matter.
THE GOAL
CDA needed an easy and effective way to see how a new Wren Kitchens stand design would look before it went into production. They wanted visuals that made the concept crystal clear, helped everyone understand the layout and ensured the final build would feel unmistakably CDA.
THE SOLUTION
We stepped in to create a full set of high-fidelity 3D renders that showed the stand exactly as it would appear in the real world. Using layout plans, brand guidelines and appliance details, we built a realistic 3D space complete with proper materials, lighting and finishes. These visuals gave CDA everything they needed to sense-check the design, share it with partners and make confident decisions early on.

THE OUTCOME
